Infinity Hall
needed to heat and cool a large, open space in absolute silence.
The 320- person capacity music hall faced the challenges of 25-foot
(8-m) ceilings and a noisy, inefficient HVAC system. The facility's
existing small ceiling fans did little to cool the space and often
interfered with performances. The first class music venue needed a
large circulator fan to complement the design of the space and work
efficiently and silently. Big Ass Fans Co., Lexington, Ky.,
supplied a 12-foot- (4-m-) diameter Element powder-coated fan to
fit the design of the space. The Element circulates the hot air
trapped at the ceiling level, providing comfort at the occupant
level and even temperatures throughout the facility without
distracting audience members during performances.
"I am truly impressed that the Element fan is completely silent.
It is a nice-looking fan, but it also keeps a low profile," said
Andy Hincks, co-owner of Infinity Hall. "It just contributes to a
comfortable environment and fits the design of the space
beautifully. Element is a simple answer for a complex
problem."
