Designed by New Orleans-based Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects,
the 29,120-square foot New Orleans Regional Transportation
Management Center contains the Louisiana Department of
Transportation and Development and the New Orleans Regional
Planning Commission. The facility houses traffic management
personnel who work in the technologically advanced facility, which
features Intelligent Transportation Systems technology allowing
greater communications between traffic operations staff and the
greater New Orleans community.
Finished in October 2009, F.L. Crane & Sons Fulton, Miss.,
installed 8,001 square feet of 20-gauge
Profile Series Style-Rib with Microseam Corners in
Slate Gray with a smooth Duragard coating from Moon Township,
Pa.-based CENTRIA. Additionally, CENTRIA supplied 2,018 square feet
of FormaBond 8-mm R&R in Platinum with a smooth Sundance Mica
coating as well as 1,534 square feet of 22/26-gauge 2-inch
horizontal Formawall Dimension Series in Platinum with an embossed
Sundance Mica coating. The facility also features CENTRIA's
Formavue FV400 windows and Formavue FV300 windows. The Slate Gray
color blended nicely with the Platinum color of the other products
and provided both consistency and depth to the exterior aesthetic.
The Profile Series and Formawall Dimension Series are both Cradle
to Cradle Silver certified. The Shaw Group Inc., Baton Rouge, La.,
served as the general contractor.
