The AIA has released its Consensus Construction Forecast and it
seems to indicate more of what we've been hearing. The forecast
projects either negative or very little growth in the various
construction market segments.
American architects have found a promising client, China,
according to this New York Times article:

projects. As a consequence of the recession, they are under
pressure to get the lowest possible price on a project. This is
according to a recent study from FMI, a consultant to the
engineering and construction industry.
