Monthly Archives: January 2015

Continued Improvement

A new year is upon us, and as is tradition, we take this time to look forward to the year ahead. Last month, I talked about some of the forecasts and reports for what 2015 will bring in terms of the architecture and construction industry. Since then, predictions have continued to be released from different organizations. In this month's special feature, Metal Architecture talks to three industry experts to get their views on where the metal construction industry is headed this year. Hank Harris, president and CEO of FMI Corp., Raleigh, N.C.; Brad Robeson, president of Houston-based NCI Buildings Group; and Daniel Nicely, managing director, USA and Mexico for Umicore Building Products USA Inc., Raleigh, discuss current market conditions and offer predictions on how the metal construction industry will be affected this year. They also discuss expected segment growth, energy costs, wages and more.
