Every building designed and built brings a lot of decisions along the way. From the size, shape and location to the layout, type of products and building materials, owners, architects, designers and specifiers have a lot of decisions to make every day.

Metal, fiberglass company expands

Bouncy houses are good for so many occasions. Birthday parties, family picnics, block parties, perforated metal companies' open houses, the list goes on. To celebrate its new digs, about 100 of McNICHOLS Co.'s employees, their families, customers and community members gathered in a large meeting room next to staff offices in Elk Grove Village, Ill., alongside O'Hare International Airport, on April 26.

Collaborative Design

The architecture profession is a collaborative one. Not often do you find an architect who designs  a building all on his or her own anymore. From the owner to the structural engineer, the landscape designer to the lighting designer, everyone has a role they play in the creation of a building or project.
