Offices have outside views

Most offices in Ascent Construction Inc.’s office building in Farmington, Utah, feature views outside and daylighting. Scott P. Evans Architect and Associates PC designed the building with sawtooth cutouts that create more corners in the building. On the ground level, there are four corner offices; 11 more corner offices are on the second floor.

The building has eight roof planes. In the lobby, Lifetime Roofing installed an 8-foot by 8-foot, triple-glazed PrisMax SL Skylight, supplied by Varco Pruden Buildings.

A variety of materials including a metal roof, metal walls, natural stone feature walls, cedar ceilings and large sections of glass was required. Lifetime Roofing installed 4,495 square feet of Varco Pruden Buildings’ SLR metal roof panels in Copper Penny and 2,420 square feet of Varco Pruden Buildings’ FP-12 metal soffit panels in Copper Penny. Additionally, Lifetime Roofing used Varco Pruden Buildings’ flat stock metal in Copper Penny for all the exterior edging of roof trims and parapet caps.

For exterior walls, Lifetime Roofing installed 2,830 square feet of Varco Pruden Buildings’ Tech Four Wall Panels in Cool Dark Bronze. For the structure of the 22,000-square-foot office building, Danco Erectors and Utah Ornamental Iron erected conventional steel framing. Additionally, the two erection companies utilized eight of Varco Pruden Buildings’ WideBay Truss Purlins above the lobby. The 24,000-square-foot project was completed in December 2016.
