Dove Gray metal roof wins top honors from ATAS International Inc.

The continuous standing seam panels with an integral seam are designed for strength and durability. Designed to protect the luxury home for many years, the panels’ light gray color with cool paint pigments, giving the panels a solar reflectance index (SRI) of 55, help reflect the sun’s rays in southern California. Additionally, the standing seam metal roof panels are solar ready, allowing for either crystalline or building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) panels.
Howard & Sons Inc.[1], San Bernardino, Calif., installed the Dutch Seam panels, which were purchased through JB Wholesale/SRS[2], Riverside, Calif.
The residence took first place for residential roofs in ATAS’ 2021 Project of the Year competition. Jim Bush, vice president of sales and marketing at ATAS, said, “We are pleased to recognize all the architects, contractors, and distributors who were involved in the 2021 award-winning projects. It’s great to see the creative designs, aesthetics and quality craftsmanship incorporated into these buildings. The continued acceptance of metal as a cladding component in roof, wall, accent, and interior applications complements all building designs.”
