Stadiums and arenas are being designed to bring in more revenue and work year-round as dynamic entertaining and conference spaces. One increasingly common solution to expand the usability of these areas beyond game day is NanaWall large opening glass walls. The folding or sliding NanaWalls for luxury boxes, suites and restaurant areas create exclusive, unique and attractive entertainment areas throughout the year.
More than 100 stadiums and sports facilities throughout North America are using the NanaWall including the New York Yankees Stadium, New York Mets Citi Field, Philadelphia Eagles Lincoln Financial Stadium, Philadelphia Citizens Bank Park, Autzen Stadium at the University of Oregon, Boise State University Bronco Stadium, and BC Place in Vancouver, host of 2010 Winter Olympics.
The Olympic Village in London, home in August 2012 to 16,000 athletes from around the world, includes almost 1,400 panels of the NanaWall SL25 all-glass system and SL45 folding doors at the Olympic Village balconies.
A NanaWall provides design flexibility and extremely wide openings for unobstructed views of the game or event. For more than 25 years, NanaWall Systems has been based on a foundation of testing, research and innovation. And with more than a million opening glass panels installed worldwide, architects, design professionals and building owners trust NanaWall’s unsurpassed durability and performance.
On the NanaWall in luxury suites and private clubs in Autzen Stadium at the University of Oregon, John Poston, principal of Kansas City, Mo.-based Ellerbe Becket, says, “NanaWall uniquely balanced operability and thermal performance in delivering unobstructed panoramic views of both Autzen Stadium and the stunning Oregon landscape beyond. This was our charge and we analyzed every conceivable option in the industry. The NanaWall system has performed perfectly since day one.”
“Throughout the country, stadium and arena owners are looking for ways to attract fans and increase revenue year-round,” says George Wiedenhofer, eastern sales manager for NanaWall Systems. “In particular, we are seeing growth in smaller regional and local sports teams. Many teams are playing year-round and are packed with people-like the new Arizona Diamondbacks’ Spring Training Facility in Phoenix. The NanaWall makes the outdoor venue a pleasure regardless of the weather. Fans like to be comfortable. Sports venue owners see that creating a great atmosphere and luxury seating options pay off.”
