A wide hydraulic door met project goals for access and capacity for Bingham Nerve and Muscle’s aviation hangar at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport in Jackson, Tenn.

Ronald Bingham, owner and pilot, says he services nine satellite clinics in rural areas in Tennessee and Mississippi. Two planes, a CJ1, and a Cirrus SR22, are kept inside the hangar.

“We typically have two small planes and a Citation jet,” he says. “I chose a hydraulic door because I wanted maximum clearance to accommodate as many Citation models as we could; this door will accommodate a CJ3.”

S&G Stephens Construction Inc. built the 27 m (90 ft) wide by 21 m (70 ft) long hangar and installed Schweiss Doors’ 21 m (70 ft) long by 5 m (16 ft) tall hydraulic door with remote openers
