ATAS International Inc.[1] is pleased to announce the ATAS Kennis Center-an educational facility dedicated to knowledge, excellence, and innovation in the metal industry.

ATAS has been in the Lehigh Valley for 30 years and has remained committed to providing exceptional continued education. Being that the founding family of the company is of Dutch descent, the name, “kennis”, is Dutch for knowledge.

The center, located at ATAS headquarters in Allentown, Pa, plays host to a variety of educational functions such as training seminars, instructional courses, and activities that are specifically tailored to architects, contractors, specifiers, distributors, and more. ATAS offers a mix of hands-on coaching and in-depth guidance on the latest information, research, and trends in the industry.

Training seminars are offered for metal roofing installers to expand their experience and knowledge with metal roof installation for residential and commercial applications. ATAS also offers a Building Your Business Seminar which focuses on the sales, marketing techniques, and necessary technical skills to effectively promote metal roofing. Course content includes product training, feature benefit analysis, sales techniques, trim and flashing application, installation training and a tour of the manufacturing facility.

AIA/CES seminars are available for architects throughout the country and may qualify for LEED credits. Other seminars include Understanding Metal Roofing, Transpired Solar Collectors, Sustainable Building Envelopes, Plant Tours, Metal Coil Coating Technology, and more.

ATAS is in the business of innovation and is continuously seeking ways to improve, not only themselves, but the entire industry. Knowledge is a key factor in achieving success and, with The Kennis Center, ATAS hopes to inspire others to pursue continued education and discover endless possibilities.
