Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and Health Product Declarations (HPDs) are now available for a full line of architectural and structural metal panel systems, providing greater transparency for design professionals working toward sustainable and health-conscious construction.
Manufactured by IMETCO, the panels are now supported by third-party certifications that aid in documentation for LEED, WELL, and Green Globes projects.
Type III EPDs offer lifecycle data verified by an independent source and cover impacts from raw material extraction through manufacturing, transportation, and end-of-life scenarios. Each document complies with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14025 and European Standard (EN) 15804 standards.
HPDs, developed according to the Health Product Declaration Collaborative’s open standard, disclose product ingredients and associated human health hazards. These documents support “Red List Free” design targets and similar initiatives.
“We recognize the growing demand for transparency and environmental stewardship in the built environment,” says Jonnie Hasan, IMETCO’s vice president of business and product development. “These new declarations underscore our commitment to delivering not only performance-driven products but also ones that meet the highest standards of sustainability and health.”
The panel systems incorporate high levels of recycled content and are fully recyclable at the end of life. The documentation adds to existing sustainability strategies that support durable, energy-efficient building envelopes.
