Executive Vice President of Triangle Fastener Corporation, Jim Johnston, passed away on August 17th after a long battle with cancer. He was 60 years old. Jim had been with the company since the first days of operations when it opened in February of 1977 in Pittsburgh, PA. During his 33 years with TFC Jim worked in many different capacities, always pushing the company forward. Jim is widely known and respected in the U.S. fastener industry. Convention. He has created friendships with literally hundreds of customers and suppliers from every segment of the commercial construction market. He has provided immeasurable leadership, forward thinking and vision to T.F.C.; his market insight and vast knowledge of the construction industry were uncanny. Jim is survived by his wife, Valerie, and daughters Vanessa (Matt) Stipp, Jessica, Emily and Sara Johnston and granddaughter Ellery Paige Stipp. Jim will be truly missed by all 180 members of the Triangle family. His friendly manner, jovial spirit and skillful guidance will never be forgotten. Godspeed, Jimmy.
