Laminators Incorporated has developed a new AIA Continuing Education Article Course available for architects, hosted by Architectural Record.

The article, titled “Barrier vs. Rainscreen Exteriors: choosing a design approach to create a rain-proof facade”, focuses on the following learning objectives: differentiating between a rainscreen and a barrier façade, choosing a panel installation system appropriate for the application, budget, and local climate, describing the benefits of using a composite metal panel system, and explaining how pressure equalization reduces water penetration. After reading the complete article, readers are asked to take the 10-question test and can earn 1 AIA/CES HSW Learning Unit once they pass the test.

The first four pages of the article appear in the June issue of Architectural Record on pages 282-285 or the full article can be found at www.LaminatorsInc.com/AIA_CEU[1].
