MBCI[1] recently announced a new addition to its wide range of C&I wall panels. The AVP panel is an exposed fastener wall panel and is the improved version of its popular existing PBA panel.
“In recent years, building owners have started requiring their buildings to have greater insulating values, resulting in the common practice of using six-inch blanket insulation,” said Bill Coleman, executive vice president of MBCI. “In an effort to provide our customers with a higher-performing product for this application, we have introduced our new and improved version of the industry-standard A panel.”
The AVP panel’s appearance remains very similar to the existing PBA panel but did add some enhancements to create a performance-improved product. These improvements include the vee shape between the major ribs of the AVP panel to be slightly deeper than that of the PBA, pencil ribs instead of striations, and the outside rib at the side lap has no return leg, which prevents the side lap from deforming at fastener locations.
