Palram Polycarbonate Products Earn ICC-ES Evaluation Report

Polycarbonate products, manufactured by Palram Americas[1], recently received an evaluation report (ESR-1893) from ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), providing evidence that the Palram polycarbonate products, including PALSUN[2], SUNTUF[3], SUNSKY[4], DYNAGLAS[5], SUNLITE[6], and THERMAGLAS[7] meet code requirements. Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers and others utilize ICC-ES Evaluation Reports to provide a basis for using or approving products in construction projects under the International Building Code.

 

ICC-ES President Shahin Moinian explains why ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are so important. “Palram Americas can now reference the evaluation report to ensure building officials and the building industry that the product meets I-Code requirements,” Moinian said. “Building departments have a long history of using evaluation reports, and ICC-ES operates as a technical resource with the highest quality of product review for the building department. Final approval of building products is always in the hands of the local regulatory agency.”

 

ICC-ES thoroughly examined Palram Americas’ product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code-compliant. “The most recent issuance of our ICC-ESR report allows Palram Americas to meet the needs of architects, specifiers and codes officials,” stated Mark Weaver, Technical Services Manager for Palram Americas. “This report, along with our robust product line, provides Palram the opportunity to penetrate market segments which historically have been untouched by our company.”
