Stephen Reno of Oxnard has been appointed president of Tri-Counties Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning National Association (SMACNA), based in Ventura, Calif. He will serve a two-year term ending in January 2013.
He also will serve as chairman of the board of directors at SMACNA and represent the nonprofit organization as a spokesperson on local and national levels in the sheet metal industry.
Reno’s goals are to grow SMACNA’s membership and the Tri-Counties Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program it sponsors and to increase awareness to architecture and engineering opportunities within the sheet metal industry.
