Chem Link, Schoolcraft, Mich., an architectural products manufacturer, has partnered with Ron Blank & Associates, San Antonio, to present the Washington, D.C.-based American Institute of Architects’ Continuing Education program “Polyether Technology: The Next Generation of Adhesives and Sealants.” The one-hour course will be presented through the “Lunch and Learn” InfoSpec format and is classified as the “Division Seven—Thermal and Moisture Protection” category. Architects attending will earn 1 CEU. This course will better inform the designer about basic working knowledge of polyethers and how they are able to outperform traditional sealants. By the end of this program the designer should be able to assess the differences between caulks and sealants and also will gain knowledge and understanding of the following:
• What polyethers are. • The benefits of polyethers versus other adhesive and sealant technologies. • Begin to see the benefits in specifying polyethers. The course is sponsored by the manufacturer and is free for design professionals. It is being facilitated by Chem Link staff and manufacturers’ representatives throughout the United States.
