The U.S. and Canadian re-roofing market is experiencing high demand due to a number of challenging circumstances, ranging from the increasing frequency of severe storms, hurricanes and wildfire threats, to the average age of homes continuing to rise.

That means, plenty of homes are now in need of—or are due for—a roof replacement. Compounding the issue is the fact that many of today’s homes have roofs made from far less durable, sustainable and reliable materials, such as asphalt shingles and wood shakes. Inferior roofing material needs repaired, replaced and maintained more frequently and wears out sooner, meaning homeowners may have to invest far more in re-roofing and maintenance costs over the lifetime of their home.
To help homeowners make the wisest investment and understand how more sustainable roofs can protect and improve the performance of their homes over the long term, the Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) has just released its latest, most comprehensive version of the MRA Residential Metal Roofing Buyer’s Guide, now available for free at https://www.metalroofing.com/news/download-mra-residential-metal-roofing-buyers-guide/[1]
The newest MRA Buyer’s Guide version covers a wide range of detailed information that homeowners need to understand before they make a roofing decision, including how to evaluate regional climate conditions, what to look for when it comes to performance and reliability, material and coating differences, care and maintenance and much more. The latest updates also include:
“We’re thrilled to be able to tap into the collective expertise and extensive knowledge of our members to offer this much-needed resource for free to homeowners as they look to make the very best, long-term decision for their homes,” said Renee Ramey, MRA Executive Director.
