The Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA)[2] selected a multifamily residential reroofing project in Florida as its Best Residential Metal Roofing Project competition winner for the second quarter of 2024.

To replace a damaged concrete tile roof on a 2,044 m2 (22,000 sf) condominium building in Cape Coral, Fla., Catalyst Roofing LLC, based in Fort Myers, Fla., installed metal roofing supplied by Worthouse Inc., based in Waynesboro, Ga., in four days.

Renee Ramey, executive director at MRA, says, “This is the first multifamily project to receive top honors in our competition, and for good reason; it exemplifies all of the major benefits of metal roofs on an even bigger scale. This project shows that when communities take pride and consider the long-term repercussions of their reroofing decisions, metal is definitely the smartest investment.”

The roof is a classic-shaped modular panel design called Supre in Canyon Red.

Garrett Swank, of Worthouse, says, “The choice of our material was further solidified by the promise of durability, underscored by a warranty of up to 50 years—a pivotal factor in the client’s decision-making process. This project not only demonstrates superior engineering and efficiency, but also highlights the transformative impact of modern roofing technology in large-scale applications.”
