SPFA elects board of industry leaders with new structure

The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA)[2] has announced its elected board of directors. Encompassing industry leaders from the contractor, supplier, and consulting sides of the business, as well as spanning the insulation and roofing sectors, the board includes an executive committee among 19 voting members.

Frank Mortl III, CAE, executive director at SPFA, says, “SPFA extends congratulations and a warm welcome to all of its new board members. These individuals have committed to leading our organization during this important time and to ensuring SPFA’s valued member needs are met. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish during their time with us.”

During this election cycle, SPFA initiated a staggered board of directors structure. Some board members will serve two-year terms, and others will serve four-year terms.

“The staggered structure will ensure continuity in leadership, even during future election cycles,” Mortl says.

SPFA’s executive committee has four members with two-year terms:

• Ken Wells, president, owner of Elite Insulation and PolyPro LLC, Broadway, Va.
• Corey Poepping, vice president, president at Tri-County Foam Insulation LLC, Alexandria, Minn.
• Gary Harvey, secretary and treasurer, president and CEO at Wedge Roofing Inc., Petaluma, Calif.
• Bonnie Strickler, immediate past president, president at Puff Inc., Charlottesville, Va.

Wells says, “Coming into the role of SPFA president, I hope to build on the success of the previous SPFA board of directors. I am eager to tap into the expertise of both veteran board members and the fresh talent being added to our leadership. With big things on the horizon, SPFA is going to need a strong push and I believe we have assembled just the team for the job.”

Incoming voting members of the SPFA board of directors include elected 2024 to 2026 at-large contractor board members:

• Wayne Dearing, president and owner at Peak Spray Foam Insulation LLC, Annandale, Minn.
• Tom Decker, president at Chicago Green Insulation Inc., Highland Park, Ill.
• Adam Kline, senior manager, supply chain at TruTeam, Orlando, Fla.
• Brandon Yocum, owner of Premier Spray Foam, Lawrenceburg, Ky.

Elected 2024 to 2028 at-large contractor board members are:

• Bart Bonanno, owner at FoamTech Insulation Inc., Richmond, Va.
• Dan Dorneanu, owner-operator at Palmetto Spray Foam, Charleston, S.C.
• Ron Fetzer, owner at Spray All, Strongstown, Pa.
• Bob Lepage, owner at Ex-E1 Sustainable Building Systems, LLC, Albuquerque, N.M.

Elected 2024 to 2026 at-large supplier or consultant board members are:

• Terrie Downing, customer experience manager at Quadrant Performance Materials, McKinney, Texas
• Robert Naini, general manager and owner at Spray Foam Advisor, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
• Charlie Rose, vice president of sales and marketing at Creative Polymer Solutions LLC, Birmingham, Ala.
• Mac Sheldon, founder at Sheldon Consulting LLC, Oregon City, Ore.

Elected 2024 to 2028 at-large supplier or consultant board members are:

• Mary Bogdan, research fellow at Honeywell, New York City
• Doug Kramer, president and CEO at PolyCon LLC, Houston
• Rusty Schrader, technical services manager at General Coatings Manufacturing Corp., Universal Polymers Corp., Fresno, Calif.
• Todd Wishneski, director of product development at NCFI Polyurethanes, Mount Airy, N.C.

Additionally, ad-hoc board members joining SPFA are 2024 to 2026 ad-hoc contractor board members:

• Matt Mader, owner at Mader Insulation, LLC, Waterville, Minn.
• Anthony Pantuso, owner at Pantuso Insulation, Grand Junction, Colo.

Ad-hoc supplier or consultant board members from 2024 to 2026 are:
