Wausau Window and Wall Systems, Wausau, Wis., has announced three-week shipping on its standard SuperWall systems in order to meet the accelerated pace of construction timelines for low- and mid-rise buildings such as schools, hospitals, offices and mixed-use properties. With a palette exceeding 30,000 color choices of durable, painted or anodized finishes, the curtainwall and window wall systems are offered in 6 1/4- or 8 1/4-inch (159- or 210-mm) depths and as captured or silicone structure glazed systems. Doug Holmberg, general manager for Advantage by Wausau’s standard products, said: “Contractors and designers have counted on Wausau’s easy-to-fabricate SuperWall systems for smooth, quick installation and worry-free, test-verified performance. Now they need it faster than ever and want it to match whatever color scheme the designer and owner can imagine. In just three weeks from order recipient, we can ship a complete, finished SuperWall system.” Holmberg said the 6250 or 8250 Series SuperWall systems also contribute to energy efficient, green building designs, achieving U-Factors as low as 0.44 BTU/hr-sqft-°F with Frame Condensation Resistance Factor 67 to 78. The aluminum systems can be specified with recycled content and finished with liquid paints composed of up to 100 percent postindustrial waste or powder paint and anodize finishes specified as VOC-free coatings. Coupled with the recognized benefi ts of daylight and outside views, these features could aid buildings seeking certification under such programs as the LEED Green Building Rating System.
