Innovative designs earn top spots for Sips, Night Hawk in best bar awards

The Night Hawk bar in Singapore won the Bareksten Best Bar Design Award in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023.

On October 17, an annual list of The World’s 50 Best Bars was unveiled as part of a live awards ceremony in Singapore. Sips, Barcelona, ranked no. 1 in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023. The ceremony also celebrated the winner of the inaugural Bareksten Best Bar Design Award: Night Hawk in Singapore.

Founded by Singapore bartender Peter Chua in May 2022, the speakeasy’s interiors are designed to offer an intimate, immersive experience combining retro and futuristic elements. Judged by a panel of hospitality design experts, bars from around the globe were invited to submit venues for consideration. Shortlisted for the award were Line in Athens, Greece, and Sastreria Martinez in Lima, Peru.

The contest is sponsored by Perrier brand water, which is owned by Nestlé Waters, based in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.
