Simpson Strong-Tie Co. Inc.’s DSSCB bypass framing drift strut connector is made of 12-gauge steel. It is a dual-function connector with pre-punched slots and round holes for slide-clip and fixed-clip applications. The connector supports cold-formed steel bypass framing and accommodates horizontal building drift. It allows finished panels to be installed while working from the top of the slab without pre-drilling or installing anchors for clips. The DSSCB bypass framing drift strut connector is formed to friction fit within 13/16-inch or 1 5/8-inch strut channels. It is installed by sliding the clip into a strut channel and twisting.
