Maxon[1] has announced Redshift 2027.0 for AEC, adding official support for Graphisoft Archicad alongside existing integrations with Vectorworks[2] and Autodesk Revit[3]. Available for Windows and macOS, Redshift for Archicad supports Archicad 30.
The release connects interactive design review in BIM and CAD applications with Cinema 4D workflows for advanced modeling, animation, simulation, and high-end production without requiring a disconnected export-and-rebuild process.
Maxon says that Redshift 2027.0 improves interactive previews with faster shader compilation, ray-traced refraction, transparent shadows, and depth of field. Architects can also create custom physically based materials and use the new Light Manager to add and adjust presentation lighting separately from the CAD model’s construction data.
According to Maxon, these updates give architects more control over design visualization, client presentations and marketing content, from early design feedback to cinematic-quality final assets.
