Rolling and bifold doors featured in Metal Architecture’s September 2020 issue.

AeroDoor’s bottom rolling door system is made of steel and moves via a heavy-duty wheel and track system. The structural load of the door goes down into the wheels. Doors fit multiple opening sizes and can be configured to move independently or as a group in either direction. They are designed to meet regional wind load requirements, and buildings’ vertical and horizontal deflection criteria.

Renlita’s S-2000 Hingeway bifold doors have steel frames and are counterweight balanced. They are operated manually or by an electric, direct drive motor. When open, the bifold doors fold along a horizontal hinge line and move upward, while the bottom panel opens until horizontal, which forms into an awning-like structure.

The kits come with lift-straps, motors, control boxes, electrical components and installation instructions. The lift-straps strength-to-weight ratio is 29,000 pounds tensile strength, compared to a 1/4-inch cable’s 7,200-pound rating.
