The Basin Contracting Limited, Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, Canada, addition utilized a metal building, roof and walls from Robertson Building Systems, Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. Started in July 2006, the project was completed in April 2008. The 6,400-square-foot (595-m2) building has office and warehouse space, and is 40 by 160 feet (12 by 49 m) with a 25-foot (8-m) eave height. The project featured a standing-seam metal roof in Galvalume, tilt-up/Dura Rib endwalls and tilt-up sidewalls with a Dura-Rib liner. The 25-guage wall panels were in Light Stone, while the roof has a 1/4:12 roof slope. The building’s perimeter was constructed with tilt-up panels and includes a full second floor constructed out of steel and concrete. The project, which was an addition to an existing Robertson building, also included re-roofing half of the existing building. Top Construction Ltd., Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, was the design-builder, general contractor and erector.
