Completed in October 2008, the 13,400-square foot (1,245-m2) Crystal Pools in Glenpool, Okla., utilized a metal building and roof from Star Building Systems, Oklahoma City, in addition to wall panels from MBCI, Houston. The project used 14,000 square feet (1,301 m2) of Star’s DuraRib roof system; 11,520 square feet (1,070 m2) of MBCI’s PBR wall panels; and FW-120 flat panels for the façade from MBCI. The exterior also features stucco and cultured stone for aesthetics. Cost savings and erection speed were factors for choosing a custom metal building for the project. Stava Building Corp., Tulsa, Okla., was the builder and general contractor, and Girdner Construction, Tahlequah, Okla., was the steel erector.
