Calloway Johnson Moore and West PA specified metal wall panels for its design of a delivery center at Boeing South Carolina in Charleston, S.C., for performance, thermal efficiency, wind and flame resistance, aesthetics and sustainability.

The 10-story facility is a painting facility for aircraft. It is as wide as about two football fields and contains hospitality components, offices for pilots and flight line staff and a security checkpoint. The delivery center can simultaneously house two Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

SPS Corp. installed 22,616 square feet of CENTRIA’s 20-gauge, 2-inch horizontal Formawall Dimension Series with a 3-inch reveal in Pewter with a smooth Sundance AM coating, and 13,395 square feet of CENTRIA’s 20-gauge, 2-inch horizontal Formawall Dimension Series with a 3-inch reveal in Silversmith with a smooth Sundance AM coating.

It also installed 2,448 square feet of CENTRIA’s 20-gauge, 2-inch horizontal Formawall Dimension Series DS-60 in Silversmith with a smooth Sundance Mica coating; 721 square feet of CENTRIA’s 20-gauge, 2-inch horizontal Formawall Dimension Series DS-60 in Pewter with a smooth Sundance Mica coating; and 1,335 square feet of CENTRIA’s Ecoscreen Perforated Screenwall in a rib style. Additionally, CENTRIA and Kalwall Corp. co-designed Formawall Dimension Series Integrated Translucent Window System to provide natural lighting to the paint bays and administration offices. The 256,000-square-foot project was completed in 2015 and opened in 2016.
