Since its’ founding in 1987, The Heritage Harley-Davidson/Buell Inc. of Lisle, Ill., has increasingly expanded its store size. The original 1,600-square-foot (149-m2) store was expanded to a 15,000-square-foot (1,394-m2) location and recently moved to a new 63,000-square-foot (5,853-m2) state-of-the-art facility.
The new facility utilizes 1,650 square feet (153 m2) of UNA-CORE Series 45 Honeycomb Wall Panels, 0.040 aluminum with a clear anodized finish by Firestone Metal Products Inc., Anoka, Minn. In accordance with Harley- Davidson’s dedication to durability, long-lasting metal panels greet enthusiastic employees and customers alike as they enter the new facility. The aluminum metal panels are essential in establishing a welcoming and unique working environment, reflecting the company vision of an atmosphere where employees care about what they sell.
Robert L. Varnes and Associates Ltd., Sheridan, Ill., was the architect; Calumet Glass Inc., Merrillville, Ind., was the contractor; and The Alter Group, Skokie, Ill., was the general contractor.
