The Luxor Office Building in Lake Charles, La., is a high-profile and visible project as the city continues its growth south. The building’s design is attention grabbing with its diagonal placement mixed in with oak trees creating a soothing environment.
Houston-based MBCI supplied its 24-gauge BattenLok HS metal roof panels for the project. The high-strength Galvalume standing-seam roof panel was coated with MBCI’s Signature 300Series (PVDF) in Natural Patina, and offers a 2- inch- (51-mm-) high vertical leg. The panel system is field-seamed with a mechanical seamer.
The 20,655-square-foot (1,919-m2) building was completed in 2008. Ribbeck Construction Corp., Lake Charles, was the general contractor and metal installer.
