Immigration Services Selects Metal Building System

The 10,189-square-foot (947-m2) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services building in Imperial, Calif., was completed in June 2007 and uses a metal building by Eufaula, Ala.-based American Buildings Co.; a standing-seam roof; Long Span parapets; and plaster pop out with stone finish. API panel exterior walls were by MeTecno API, Modesto, Calif. The standing-seam roof was coated in 70 percent PVDF resin supplied as Kynar 500 or Hylar 500 by Florham Park, N.J.-based BASF. The metal wall system was coated in Smart-Kote 70 percent PVDF resin supplied as Kynar 500 or Hylar 500 by BASF. The architect on the project was Richard Pata Engineering, El Centro, Calif., along with Duggins Construction, Imperial. Duggins Construction was also the general contractor on the building.
