Architects Marcy Wong and Donn Logan designed their new two-story, 6,240-square-foot
(580-m2) building in Berkeley, Calif., that contains their design offices. The project utilized 7,400 square feet (687 m2) of 24-gauge bare Galvalume Multi-Cor exposed fastener panels by McElroy Metal Inc., Bossier City, La.

Completed in September 2006, the project took into consideration both budget and aesthetics. Metal siding was used because the project is in a mixed-use, partially industrial zone in a transitioning neighborhood. Oliver & Co. Inc., Richmond, Calif., was the general contractor and IMR Contractors, San Francisco, was the metal installer for the project.
