Kingspan Insulated Panels Inc.’s KarrierPanel barrier wall system with single-skin metal wall panels supplied by Morin Corp., a Kingspan Group company, was installed vertically on the Southeast Center at Portland Community College, Portland, Ore. The metal panel system allows the building to be fully passive.
The project is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification. Jeff Harbaugh is project manager at General Sheet Metal, the fabricator for the project, which was completed in January 2014. “The Kingspan panels we used for this project directly contributed to the building scoring extremely high on LEED certification credits,” he says.
