Metal Panels warm up public buildings

Eufaula, Ala.-based American Buildings Co.’s[1] roof system increased thermal efficiencies at the Nordegg Public

Services Building in Nordegg, Alberta, Canada, which has an older-style roof overhang and supports, and an exterior stairwell that resembles an old mine shaft entrance.

American Buildings’ Shadow Panel metal wall panels in Taupe Sand and a double-roof system brought thermal efficiencies on the shop building to a full R-24. Standing seam 360 roof panels in Zincalume and a single slope metal building system were also used in the project, completed in June 2012. Genivar[2], Red Deer, Alberta, was the architect, and Phoenix Construction Inc[3]., Lake Forest Park, Wash., was the builder.
