The Mohonk Mountain Resort in New Paltz, N.Y., is a beautiful National Historic Landmark resort in the Catskills set on 2,200 acres (880 hectares) just 90 miles (144 km) north of New York City. The project utilized 4,129 square feet (384 m2) of 0.032-aluminum Dutch Seam (MRD150) in Slate Grey by ATAS International Inc., Allentown, Pa. Allied Building Products, East Rutherford, N.J., was the distributor and Hayden Roofi ng, West Nyack, N.Y., was the installer.
The resort features a 30,000-square-foot (2,787-m2) spa wing with 16 treatment rooms, a solarium, an outdoor heated mineral pool, an indoor heated swimming pool with an underwater sound system, comprehensive fitness center and yoga/motion studio. There are also 85 miles (136 km) of trails for seasonal hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, along with exquisite gardens, a challenging nine-hole golf course, redclay tennis courts, and stables with horseback riding and horse-drawn carriage ridges. The 1/2- mile- (0.8-km-) long, glacial-formed Lake Mohonk is ideal for boating, fishing and swimming.
