Allee, a mixed-use shopping center in Budapest, Hungary was created in November 2009 by ING Real Estate to serve as a complex that is a shopping and leisure environment, and a quality living space. Budapest’s 11th district saw revitalization in 2009 with the completion of this project.

The complex features 140 retail shops, which includes H&M, Nike, Adidas and Guess to name a few, and also has restaurants, cafes, a 13-screen cinema, casino, offices, 89 modern apartments, and over 1,200 underground parking spaces. The complex also incorporates a new pedestrian friendly zone complemented by green areas.

Architect Finta Studios, Budapest, used Hunter Douglas Contract QuadroClad metal façade panels, which create large “boxes” giving the building added dimension and shape. The strong, lightweight, ultra flat panels provide thermal insulation, and maintain ventilation while controlling rain penetration.

The Allee project was ING Real Estate’s first multifunctional city center project in Hungary. The Hunter Douglas QuadroClad panels were used in the exterior of the building to add dimension to the signage, among other areas to give shape to the building.
