Pre-engineered metal church fits budget

Metal’s longevity, low maintenance and economy meet project goals

Dekker/Perich/Sabatini LLC specified a pre-engineered metal building for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Vega, Texas, to stay within the project budget and design a long-lasting, low-maintenance facility to maintain. Varco Pruden Buildings supplied the primary building with straight columns, roof structural system and high wind roof (HWR) standing seam metal roof panels in Cool Colonial Red for the 7,630-square-foot project, completed in May 2013.

Vega is a small farming community approximately 40 miles west of Amarillo. The new church replaced the original church built by farm settlers in the region. The project budget was determined by community donations. Dekker/Perich/Sabatini worked with the church building committee, assisted with fundraising, provided construction documents and construction administration.
