RVK Architects and EYP Architecture and Engineering designed the Center for the Sciences and Innovation at Trinity University in San Antonio with new structural elements blended with existing elements including architectural metal and brick. The 216,875-square-foot, three building project links multiple buildings including the Chapman Center, Cowles Life Science Building and the Marrs-McLean Science Center. A two-story addition to the campus provides more than 30 various laboratories with classrooms for chemistry, biology, physics, psychology, computer sciences and centralized building support facilities.
Port Enterprises Ltd. installed 7,811 square feet of Dri-Design’s Flat Lock Panels fabricated with Umicore Building Products USA Inc.’s 1-mm VMZinc with a QUARTZZINC finish and 1/2-inch joints for the project. Additionally, Port Enterprises installed 2,770 square feet of CENTRIA’s 22-gauge, embossed, galvanized steel Concept Series Concealed Fastener Panels CS-260 in Silver Gray with factory-mitered corners and interlocking edges. The $80 million project was completed in December 2014.
