After more then 45 years debating the location for the new Everett High School, the Everett, Mass., city leaders settled on a unique site for the $64 million project. The 315,000-square-foot (29,264-m2) facility is the largest state-of-the-art public works project in Everett’s history. Constructed on a hilly, 5-acre (2-hectare) site, the front entrance is on the first floor and the rear entrance on the fourth floor. The project includes athletic facilities, a library/media center, 1,200-seat auditorium and health center.

The project utilized 18,145 square feet (1,686 m2) of RHEINZINK Dri-Design panels finished in preweathered Blue-Grey from Dri-Design, Holland, Mich. The RHEINZINK metal alloy is from RHEINZINKAmerica Inc., Cambridge, Mass. Additionally, the project utilized 4,000 square feet (372 m2) of RHEINZINK preweathered Blue-Grey Diamond Tiles from RHEINZINK.

HMFH Architects Inc., Cambridge, was the architect; Suffolk Construction, Roxbury, Mass., was the general contractor; and Greenwood Industries, Millbury, Mass., was the fabricator and installer.
