To offset a majority of fiber cement siding on The Shay apartment buildings, WDG Architecture specified metal wall panels installed at a 45 degree angle. The metal panels accent elevation details including a 125-foot-tall accent wall facing downtown and 100-foot-tall stairwell tower from a parking garage. There are accent bands between storefront glass at multiple levels of the development’s three apartment buildings. Additionally, a partially interior application of he angled metal panels was installed at balconies and terraces.

The Roof Depot Inc. installed 14,000 square feet of Berridge Manufacturing Co.’s 26-gauge Fluted Fascia in Pewter Gray. The company installed the metal wall panels at a 45 degree angle over three substrates: plywood, hat channel (over CMU and plywood), and directly to CMU. All of the metal panels were installed over a high temperature ice and water shield, supplied by Mid-States Asphalt.
