Perforated metal panels were incorporated on a mixed-use building with a grocery store and parking garage.
Whole Foods Market, occupies the first floor of the 48,000-square-foot, six-story building. The second and third floors house a parking garage for retail shoppers and occupants of the Novel apartment complex, which is connected to the mixed-use building. Floors four through six house additional residential parking spaces.
Novel apartments occupy three, five-story buildings with retail on the first floor and residences on the top four floors. All of the buildings are located in the Midtown Tampa mixeduse development.
Alex Call, AIA, senior designer at WDG Architecture PLLC, says, “The goal of the project was to anchor the western half of the whole project as a walkable, mixed-use environment. Contemporary exterior materials highlight an exterior palette focused on a clean, coastal aesthetic with accents of modern elements throughout, celebrating Tampa’s local vernacular.”
MG McGrath Inc. installed CENTRIA’s 0.04-inch-thick perforated aluminum EcoScreen panels in Sherwin- Williams Coil Coatings’ Green.
Jono Semlak, director of project management at MG McGrath, says, “This was an easy install on this project. There was one little eyebrow that we had to deal with, so we used the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) and a boom lift to access that small area. Otherwise, it was an open wall with easy access.”
