Women’s College Soccer Team Gets New Stadium

Regal Soccer Stadium is the new home of the Knoxville, Tenn.-based University of Tennessee’s Lady Vols women’s soccer team. The new stadium was funded through private donations and funds provided by Regal Entertainment Group, Knoxville. Located on the site of the old grandstand, the upgraded stadium features Snap-Clad panels in Patina Green by Petersen Aluminum Corp., Elk Grove Village, Ill. The stadium features seating for 3,000 fans; a state-of-the-art press box; locker rooms; meeting areas and a video room with theatre seating. The grounds feature two 80- by 120-yard (72- by 109-m) fields-one for practice and one for competition. The architect on the project was Lockwood Greene, Knoxville, and the roofing contractor was Baird & Wilson Sheetmetal, Knoxville.
