Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects LLP designed Seattle Children’s Hospital with Umicore Building Products USA Inc.’s 1-mm-thick VMZinc VMZ Interlocking panel in PIGMENTO red so the panels would blend with and highlight other materials, and heighten their natural aspect and industrial dimension. The VMZinc VMZ Interlocking panels allowed a variety of colors from the interior to complement the exterior. The 330,000-square-foot Seattle Children’s Hospital, completed in April 2013, features a cancer center with 48 new rooms, emergency department and critical care unit.
