Kennesaw, Ga.-based Direct Metals Co. LL C supplied 3,280 square feet of bronze wire architectural mesh for the insert panels underneath the railings surrounding the exhibits and in the stairways at the Statue of Liberty Welcome Center, New York City.
A $27.25 million renovation with long-planned safety and other renovations took a year to complete. The project included improved stairways, upgraded electrical and fire suppression systems, elevators and rehabilitated restrooms.
