CENTRIA Coating Services, is pleased to announce the promotions of two long-standing employees of the organization. Jim Connelly will assume the newly created position of Director of Continuous Improvement and Supplier Relations and Charlie Hamilton has been named Director of Coil Coating Operations for the company’s two plants.
“Both of these individuals exemplify CENTRIA’s
‘That’s How We Roll’ swagger,” said Jim Dockey, General Manager, CENTRIA Coating Services (CCS). “Their leadership will be instrumental as we continue to synchronize our best practices in both our Ambridge and Cambridge plants.”
In 2013, CCS implemented a new internal initiative titled, “Bridge The Gap”, to leverage best practices between the Ambridge and Cambridge plants. The promotions of Connelly and Hamilton are an outgrowth of that strategy which will enable the company to continue delivering on the four fundamental platforms that have been the foundation of their success: relentless perfection, critical flexibility, total access and maximum return.
Connelly’s new responsibilities will include overseeing the transfer of best practices between the Cambridge and Ambridge plants, working closely with key suppliers to expand partnership initiatives, and championing CENTRIA’s capital expenditures process as the company continues to evaluate new investment opportunities.

Hamilton’s responsibilities now include complete operational responsibility for both Ambridge and Cambridge and leading the “Bridge the Gap” initiative across all company disciplines.
“I am excited to see how two of CENTRIA Coatings Services most experienced leaders will take our operational excellence to new heights,” added Dockey. “Both have been invaluable to our growth and success so far, and I am anxious to see them flourish in their new roles”
