Dave Weidl retires after two decades of service at ATAS International

ATAS International Inc., based in Allentown, Pa., announced Dave Weidl, architectural business development manager, retired after 22 years at the company.

Weidl joined ATAS as product representative, whose territory included Ohio, and portions of Kentucky and Indiana. In 2017, he was promoted to architectural business development manager. This position also included the development and management of corporate accounts.

During his tenure at ATAS, Weidl obtained LEED AP BD+C accreditation in 2009. He also achieved the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) construction documents technologist (CDT) certification in 2011. Weidl was active in several industry associations including CSI and Specification Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP), and served on the board of the Columbus, Ohio, CSI chapter. In 2004, Weidl received ATAS’ Malan S. Parker Award for Salesperson of the Year.

Weidl assisted in the creation and editing of specifications for industry professionals in specification writing platforms and ATAS’ specification library. Additionally, the growth of ATAS Academy and the multitude of ATAS’ educational offerings was influenced by Weidl’s input and experience.
