, announced the firm completed projects for Michael Kors and Versace.

AZA designed a Michael Kors store at Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets in Central Valley, N.Y., with large glass openings, and distilled forms including a commanding pediment and prominent dormers. AZA designed it with a long-spanning, lightweight, steel structure with glass and fiber-cement panel facades. For the roof, AZA specified a slate gray, standing seam roof system.

Alexander Zilberman, AIA, NCARB, founder and principal at AZA, says, “We started the design process with a vision of the ideal Michael Kors shopping experience, then developed the architecture from the inside out to house that experience, creating a consummate showcase for their brand identity while meeting all merchandising requirements.”

The project for the Versace fashion company, the Versace New York Madison store, is designed to recall Italian villas. Modern interiors feature marble surfaces, plaster, and gilded metal finishes.

“We’re so happy to again work with this world-leading project team led by artistic director and vice president Donatella Versace, who has led an acclaimed reimagining of the brand’s global retail presence,” Zilberman says.
