Aluflam has announced that UL has approved the use of increased heights for CONTRAFLAM Structure glass units utilized in its various storefront and curtainwall systems.
It’s good news for architects and designers who can take advantage of a new capability to design with fire-rated butt glazed vision wall at full floor-to-ceiling heights in most interior conditions (over 11 1/2 feet for 1 hour and 10 1/2 feet for 2 hours). Free of intermediate vertical framing elements, discrete joint intersections blend harmoniously to form a flush and uninterrupted surface.
In addition, when specifying CONTRAFLAM Structure glass units with Aluflam framing, the uninterrupted surface is finished with clean, crisp aluminum perimeter framing that can also be customized with most architectural finishes for added aesthetics in a closed environment.
