ATAS Updates to ISO 9001:2008 Certification

ATAS International, Inc., Allentown, Pa., announced it has updated its ISO certification from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008. Because ATAS already was registered with the International Organization for Standardization, it had two years to complete the updating certification process. ATAS received its latest certification in early August. As of Nov. 14, all ISO 9001:2000 certifications will be replaced by this new revised certification.
“The 2008 version does not add new requirements, but it does clarify some of the language of the 2000 version,” explained Scott Miller, process and quality engineer with ATAS. “ATAS was easily able to be audited to the 2008 version during our surveillance audit in June, securing certification before the deadline.”
