ARCO Design/Build has appointed Brian Shoop director of process engineering for its food and beverage business. The role expands the firm’s in-house process engineering capabilities for food manufacturing and processing facilities, linking process design with facility design and construction under a single delivery team.
Shoop joins ARCO from Gray, where he was vice president leading the firm’s process engineering practice. Over a 16-year career, he has worked with manufacturers on production processes and facilities intended to improve operational performance, product safety and long-term reliability. His work includes asset lifecycle management, facility and process design, equipment longevity, structural integrity and contamination prevention.

ARCO’s food and beverage business builds on its experience in cold-storage construction, extending the firm’s work in the food supply chain to manufacturing and processing facilities.
